HONORS AND AWARDS

In June 1993, the quilt “Inside the Garden” (private collection), won the following awards at the IX National Patchwork Championships in Norwich (Norfolk, U.K.): “The Quilters Guild Challenge Trophy for Workmanship”; 1st place in the category “All the World’s a Stage”; 1st place for “Free Expression”; 2nd place for “Most Innovative Design”; 2nd place for “Most Striking Use of Color”.
In October 1998, the quilt “Perusia” was awarded the Yuko Watanabe Best of Show Award” at the VII Pacific Quilt Festival competition “Radiant Memories”.
In July 2000, the quilt “Florentine Dance” was awarded the 3rd place in the category “A Bright Summer Day” at the National Quilt Championships in Ascot (Berkshire, U.K.).
